Great appetizers and fun scene. Good pizza too.

The pizza is great, NY-style with an amazing sauce, and they have a variety of toppings and specialty options. I also love that they have full courses available, great pasta and salads. There are no long waits even when they are loaded. Highly recommend!

Late review, but Probably the best late night eats in the city....the wife and I are in the industry and put off coming to here, but we were so pleasantly surprised...eveything we had on the menu was great and did not dissappoint....definitely can't wait to back and try the rest of the menu.

Do yourself a favor a try the walnut bread, you won't regret it. Funghi risotto was delicious as well! Great date spot.

Had an ice cream Sundae here last night. The portion sizes are huge and the ingredients rich and creamy. The 2 of us could hardly finish half a sundae. I think my sundae was called " Black and Tan". It had vanilla and almond ice cream with chocolate fudge, caramel, almonds and cherry.

This place is cute. The squid ink pasta was delicious. I'm not much of a pizza person and they do a good job at providing other options. Their drinks are pretty amazing. I definitely recommend not driving to this restaurant so you can have a couple cocktails.

This place is hopping. First impression is that it's trendy and everybody knows everybody. We came here around 715 and they said it would be an hour wait. ‍ we said ok and sat at the bar. In 30 mins she said our table was ready. good thing cause I was starving.

Yum! Food was very special. For sure 4 stars, but the service was a little lacking. Apps were excellent- Delicious cauliflower.

The place was empty. The Heineken tasted like it had been stored in the sun for two weeks, and the garlic bread for a few days more. Not on the top of their game tonight.

I've been going to this place for ages. I've seen menu changing and drinks evolving. It is great for every occasion. I would highly recommend their signature cocktails and any pizza.

Carborana has always a space in my heart the kind of pasta resto they serve the creamiest that add more tasteful of it. And also they served timeless pasta dishes and desserts that really standouts. You can't get enough of if!

Great place to go with your friends. The atmosphere was filled with bits and bits of friendly chit chat from all around the restaurant.I ordered a Chicken Liver Crostini all toscana. Delicious start to the meal.

Every single item we ordered was delicious! Lots of options for vegetarians. The walnut bread with burrata and truffle mushroom honey is a must!

Awesome spot to get late night grub!

I like the crust and the dough a lot. I had a spicy salami w provolone which I actually didn't like that much - However, my friend had a great one with cilantro and salsiccia. I will definitely go for that one the next time.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant. I've been here for over 15 years and is still in love with this place. My favorite things to order are their salads, seafood linguine and seafood risotto. My husband's favorites are their seafood risotto & ravioli. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. We've done dining in & ordering food to go.

My husband ordered a snack after his disappointing $50 steak dinner down the street. The meatballs were tasty, he had to order some garlic bread because he didn’t want to waste the sauce. The garlic bread was delicious, crust was the best. I was worried at first because there wasn’t anyone inside the restaurant, but service was great, we enjoyed ourselves, they made our night. We plan on going back on our next visit to UCLA ❤️

Very good food. The flavors were on point. We came at around 5:30 and the servers seemed to be in no rush because it wasn't peak. Would come back again, but would probably get takeout in the future. Dining in doesn't seem to add much to the experience during off-peak.

Italian Express Pizza is worthy of the hype that precedes it. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect for the meal it compliments - nothing too fancy but not dive bar either.

Got the meatballs as an appetizer and the pizza magherita to split with a friend. Meatballs have the perfect texture, and the sauce has a nice texture to it! My friend got the squid ink risotto with calamari which was great too! Go for the ginsdale drink too :)

such a cute place and the bartender and servers were super helpful! the goat cheese stuffed peppers and walnut burrata were clear winners! The pizzas were ok, nothing to write home about but I will definitely be back for the appetizers mentioned and more!

This restaurant is always reliable with high-quality, tasty food. If you bring small children recommend outdoor seating - inside can be packed. Their pizza and risotto are highlights for our family.

Very popular place with bar, pub, and table seating. No reservations. Specialty unique cocktail concoctions. Enjoyed the pizzas. Should have explored the menu more as there are sharing dishes. Good service all around.

I was helped tremendously by MobileFix today. I heavily rely on phone for work and in current quarantine (if your reading this in the future, 2020 was a bummer), it's that much harder to get stuff fixed. Keiwai called me back right after I called him and arranged for me to drop my phone even a little after their closing time. Upon arrival, he was very professional and his quote was a fair price. Turns out that it was also his birthday today so it was very thoughtful for him to stay open later than normal and on his birthday nonetheless. He fixed my cracked screen within 20 minutes and my phone is like new saving me a great deal of money and enabling me to continue to run a large part of my business from my phone. Very thankful and will be using the folks at MobileFix moving forward.

Cool little brunch spot in the Mission. Excellent cocktails on tap, pizzas, and good brunch food. Expect to pay typical brunch spot prices, but don't worry about portions, they don't skimp.

To all those haters - I like this place. The pizza is thin, it's crunchy and it tastes pretty good and hits the spot when I'm in need of a late night snack in the Mission after doing some damage at the bars. I have had many different pizzas and this is by far one of my favorite thin crust places. Have yet to try their deep dish style, but I'm sure it's pretty good too.

The pizza crust was crunchy, airy and chewy all at the same time! It rivals the ones we had in Italy. Squid Ink risotto was also amazing. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the city!!

Stop #74 for @pizzas365: Italian Express has a pretty decent middle-tier pie. They don't have many unique traits, but their classics are pretty decent. 3.0 Stars.

We are fan of Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen and we're dying to eat good risotto for days. The best part if Beretta isn't too far from home. The fungi and truffled pans risotto is worth its price. So is well loved walnut bread.

I lived in Italy and I have to say, this place is amazing and my new favorite!! Delicious food and great customer service every time! I highly recommend!!

Italian Express has some surprisingly good Italian food. Normally I would say it's four stars, but considering its location in Italian-barren LA, this place does it better than most others -- especially for the price. The lunch specials are particularly good, and I always tear up that salad bar.The meals are hearty big portions, and they come straight out of the kitchen hot and tasty. Some of my personal recommendations are the lasagna, the meatball sandwich (nice and saucy), and the chicken parmigiana sandwich. Oh, and you will murder your friends for the last cheese roll.I should also mention that this place looks a little dumpy; you would NOT want to bring a date here. But if you just want some tasty Italian, you can safely ignore the dingy ambiance. In fact, it's kind of cozy, once you get used to it.

I eat at this restaurant many times and the taste is consistent . Must try here: Tom Yum noodle, Chinese broccoli with crispy pork

4 stars for food - we love their pizza, broccoli bruschetta, pastas, really everything. 3 stars for the wait/inability to place reservations and often hurried service. One of our favorite places to eat but we never bring guests because the waits are horrible.

Incredible Italian dishes, risotto was probably one of the best I've had. Service was on point, we had a group of six in my party. Luckily some of my friends got there early, had to wait an hour on a Monday night but nbd. I believe this is the norm for Italian Express.

A lovely, family run establishment which serves creative and well done pizzas...including their specialty which can be added to any pizza, a crust stuffed with "Sweet Potato Mousse".

Oh my cheese and deliciousness. No reservations but time it right and you will thank yourself. We ordered Sweet potato fries, meatball & spicy sauce, and risotto. Mmmmmm yes please and thank you. I could kiss the cook best Italian I've had in SF so far!

Great food ! Just waiting on the line makes you tired. Dont go without reservation. Had really good time but it was sad seeing servers very stressed and unhappy.

Their pizza is amazing! I’m from New Jersey, so I know what good pizza taste like and it’s so hard to find a good NY slice around here and let me tell you, this place does it right. Slices aren’t the regular slices in terms of size but it taste so good, I’m so happy I found this spot on a whim on my way home from work. I will definitely be back here again!

I thought this place was great.We got the walnut bread with Italian Express Pizza and the funghi misti pizza.The walnut bread was unreal. Great mixture of sweet from the bread with savory from the cheese. Definitely recommend.

Very tasty pasta and friendly employees! I also enjoyed the atmosphere very much. Didn't reserve a table in advance so had to wait for an hour but totally worth it.

$20 corkage is too expensive for this restaurant, drop it to $15. It's too extreme, now I don't know if I'll go back just because the corkage is so much; this is a great place for Italian with great staff!

the saddest thing about dinner last friday here was that...i didnt know about the secret cocktail menu until when we were ready for the check. such fail!

Sexiest pizza place ever! The dark ambiance and the olive tree decorated with fairy lights is absolutely enchanting. This place has awesome music and is good for all ages. I'm blown away by the service!! We came here for my husbands graduation party from UCLA with the family and we had an incredible time!! Jesse made our experience exquisite and second to none. He met all of our needs with a smile. Thank you for a great time!! We'll be back

Ordered from here twice, got a variety of items, and the food was all amazing. Pizza, calzone, pasta, meatballs, fried dough, lemon marscapone cake, all just delicious! I will say the Italian Fries left something to be desired. Two thumbs up!

Great place but be warned they do not take reservations. I would suggest making a quick phone call in when you are 20-30 mins away and put yourself on the waiting list. The service was very personable and they made some great recommendations for food choices.
